WERMA Combined Light and Sound Signals
WERMA combination devices integrate a visual and an audible signal in one unit – such as LED horns and LED sirens with 32 tones in various colours and voltages.
Light and sound in one device
Combination signalling devices pair a beacon with an audible signal. A message is therefore seen and heard at the same time, even if personnel are not in direct line of sight of the machine. Compared with two separate devices, you save installation effort, space and wiring. This category includes LED horns with continuous tone and LED sirens with 32 tones in several mounting versions.
Selection criteria
- Signal colour: red, yellow, green, blue or clear – according to the meaning of the message.
- Sound: continuous tone on LED horns or 32 selectable tones on LED sirens to distinguish different messages.
- Operating voltage: for example 24 V AC/DC, 10–48 V AC/DC or 115–230 V AC.
- Mounting: different mounting versions, identified by the code in the product name.
- Location: ambient noise and viewing distance determine how conspicuous the light and sound signals should be.

Frequently asked questions
Which signal colour should I choose?
Red is commonly used for danger or faults, yellow for warnings and green for normal operation. Blue and clear are often used for special states or information messages. The standards and internal rules applicable to your machine are decisive.
When is a combination device better than a signal tower?
When exactly one message needs to be shown visually and acoustically and installation space is limited. For several states, a signal tower is usually the better solution.
Can light and sound be controlled separately?
This depends on the device. Please refer to the product description or the manufacturer's data sheet for details.
