Directional control valves determine the path compressed air takes through a pneumatic system: they open, block or switch ports and thereby control the extension and retraction of cylinders or the operation of other actuators. This category includes electrically actuated solenoid valves, 3/2-way poppet valves, 5/2-way solenoid valves of the VFN series with NAMUR interface for direct mounting on rotary actuators, and manual shut-off valves.
