What are design castors used for?
Wherever castors remain visible, appearance matters as much as function. Design castors are used on furniture, trolleys in medical practices and laboratories, display units, counters, shop fittings and equipment carts. The TENTE design castors in this category come in RAL 7001 (silver grey) and RAL 9002 (grey white), some with a contrasting RAL 7015 tread, so they blend unobtrusively into modern interiors.
Versions and selection criteria
- With or without brake: besides plain swivel castors, versions with a brake lever in contrasting red (RAL 3000) are available, keeping it easy to spot.

When do I need a castor with brake?
Whenever the furniture or trolley must stay put, for example at workstations or on slightly inclined surfaces. Two braked and two unbraked swivel castors are a common combination.
Top plate or bolt hole?
Top plates are fixed to flat surfaces with several screws. Bolt hole castors are mounted centrally with one screw or threaded stud, which is an advantage on slim furniture legs and tubular frames.
